Cloof - Duckitt
This wine was created to commemorate William Duckitt who left England and emigrated to South Africa in the early 1800s to start farming.
Viticulturist, Peter Duckitt, is a direct descendant of William and manages the Cloof vineyards.
A 'Bordeaux' style red blend, it has a heady bouquet of blueberries, blackcurrant and a hint of dark chocolate. You're then greeted with a medium-bodied palate of dark plum and cherry, with a hint of spice, all wrapped up in soft, fine tannins.
Fantastic value for money, a wine that is great in winter with a hearty beef stew or great in summer with a barbecued cheeseburger.
Get stuck in, don't duck the Duckitt!
